Your use of the Site constitutes your acceptance of this Policy and your consent to the practices it describes. Please note that your use of the Site and services is subject to our Terms of Use.

Your Privacy

We are committed to respecting your privacy and recognizing your need for appropriate protection and management of your personal information (referred to as “personally identifiable information” or “PII” for short), such as your name, address, telephone number, email address, and interests, that you share with us. The purpose of this Policy is to let you know what personally identifiable information we may collect from you when you visit our Site, how we use such information, and the choices you have regarding the use of, and your ability to review and correct, your personally identifiable information.

How We Collect Your Information

You can visit many of our Web pages without telling us who you are or revealing any personally identifiable information about yourself. When you visit our Site, we log general data, such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address, the name of the Web page from which you entered our Site, which pages you visit on our Site, the actions you take during your visit to a particular page (for example, any links or banners on which you click), and how much time you spend on each page. Your IP address is not linked to your personally identifiable information, and you will remain anonymous unless you voluntarily tell us who you are. If you choose to register with us or use certain features and functions of our Site, we ask you to provide certain personally identifiable information. Whether or not you elect to provide personally identifiable information is completely your own choice. However, if you choose not to provide the information requested, you may be unable to access certain services and content on our Site. For example, the Resources section of our website requires your email and name to facilitate the download of materials.

How We Use Your Information

The non-personally identifiable information we collect is used to monitor use of and improve our Site as well as for internal analysis. In particular, IP addresses are used to diagnose problems with the server on which this information is stored, analyze trends and statistics, administer our Site, track visitors’ movement, gather information to improve visitors’ online experience, and to facilitate their visit within the Site. We may use your personally identifiable information for our own business and administrative purposes, such as responding to your questions or comments, and identifying areas of user interest among others.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. If you downloaded materials from our Resources section, the required information you input will be retained for 6 months after which the logs which contain those information will be deleted.

With whom do we share information?

We do not trade, share, or sell information that you provide to us with other organizations who intend to use it only to market their products or services to you.

There may be instances in which we share your information with others. We may share your information, for example, in conjunction with your sponsorship of a certain project, as required by law, with law enforcement, to comply with legal process, to protect our legal rights, to protect the safety or security of a person, or to protect against fraud, criminal acts, or misconduct. We may also share your information with companies that provide us with services, or with a successor legal entity. For example, Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
