Background
The Post-Disaster program of AsiaDHRRA provides support to local rural organizations and communities affected by disasters to directly participate in and benefit from a range of post-disaster rehabilitation activities through financial and advisory services focusing on rebuilding farms and recovering lost livelihoods.

Objectives
AsiaDHRRA helps build a resilient rural community through disaster recovery and rebuilding initiatives. Specifically, its direction is to:

  1. provide thematically focused support to family farmers efforts to rebuild their farms, livelihood and economic activities, and their local organizations, with lessons learned harvested for more responsive assistance to farmers’ organizations in times of disasters;
  2. mobilize grounded and credible project partners through partner national platforms giving assurance of accountability, sustainability, and long-term impact;
  3. ensure effective and efficient utilization of available development cooperation funds and improve potentials of funds leveraging (from public programs, bilateral donors, INGOs) in support of more programmatic assistance to performing FOs for at least three years; and,
  4. improve solidarity among partner FOs based on shared experience and common struggle to overcome the challenges brought by disasters.
