The Annual Meeting of the Sector Working Group on Forestry, Agriculture and Rural Development (CSWG-FARD) Technical Group was conducted on July 16, 2025, in Vangvieng district, Vientiane, and joined by stakeholders from the agriculture academe and civil society organizations in the country. Presided and under the chairmanship of Mr. Thongdam Phonphichit, and head of the academic group on agricultural, forestry, and rural developments, the meeting was attended by 25 participants and created an active atmosphere of helpful feedback.

The gathering served as a platform for the stakeholders to review previous activities, exchange lessons learned from the management and coordinate to strengthen further the activities supported of Citizen Engagement for Good Governance, Accountability and the Rule of Law (CEGGA) II project, an initiative funded by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and implemented by Lao Partnership for the Development of Human Resources in Rural Areas (LaoDHRRA).
The meeting highlighted the role of CSOs in the project, reports for 2024-2025, framework and cooperation guidelines, and the plans made by the Lao CSO FLEGT officials on topics relating to organizational development, policy engagement, coordination, and planned activities for the 2025-2026 calendar.
