AsiaDHRRA conducted a financial monitoring workshop on September 18-19, 2025, with rural people’s organizations (RPOs) in South Upi, Maguindanao del Sur. The gathering focused on organizational background and financial topics, with discussions on credit policies, loans, savings, and capital build-up. It was led by AsiaDHRRA’s Ms. Lorna David, Finance Manager, and Marvin Soro, Senior Project Accountant.

The meeting, which was attended by a women’s group, the Fagayugoy de Melitedted Libun deb Kuya (FAMELIK), and Fintailan from Barangay Kuya and Romongaob, provided relevant tools for the RPO’s future implementation of livelihood projects. The field mission is part of the RISE-UP Project’s initiative to improve the household’s social and economic livelihood, which is aligned with eliminating child labor in agriculture in the province.
RISE-UP is AsiaDHRRA’s EU-funded initiative on “Harnessing CSO Capacities for Eliminating Child Labour (ECL) Action through Multistakeholder Partnerships and Agri-entrepreneurship,” which, in partnership with Kaanib Foundation Inc., Community Multiversity, and PhilDHRRA, contributes to the effective elimination of child labor in the agriculture sector.
