Through its Local Lab project, the Association for Development of Human Resources in Rural Areas, Thailand (ThaiDHRRA) organized a forum for prototype space experience, presentation, recommendations, and policies for returning workers in the northeastern region of Thailand.
Conducted on 3 March 2025 at the College of Politics and Governance, Mahasarakham University, Mahasarakham province, the initiative serves as a key approach to developing returning workers, strengthening the grassroots economy through social experimentation and policy development, and creating new opportunities for the community. By implementing a systematic approach with appropriate support, this effort can empower returning workers to become self-reliant and actively contribute to sustainable community development.

AsiaDHRRA supports the activity through its “Strengthening the Agency of CSOs in Developing Policy Frameworks for Equitable Rural Development and an Enhanced Contribution of Family Farmers towards the Achievement of the SDGs (ACRE)” project. ACRE aims to strengthen the participation of AsiaDHRRA members and partners and cascade the advocacy work through regional, national, and local forums and capacity-building events. The project is being funded by the European Union in collaboration with the World Rural Forum.
