AsiaDHRRA and its implementing partner, Kaanib Foundation Inc., conducted a policy advocacy convergence workshop on August 27-29, 2025, in Asuncion and Kapalong in Davao del Norte and San Fernando in Bukidnon. The activity was joined by representatives from the local government units (LGUs), civil society organizations, and provincial line agencies, which aim to promote multisectoral collaboration and commitment in identifying child-centered solutions and to assess and align the policy analysis paper on child labor in the agriculture sector.
The occasion similarly reviewed existing municipal ordinances and national frameworks and developed an integrated response plan of prioritized actions and monitoring mechanisms on accountability and timelines. Moreover, recent accomplishments and strategies were discussed, along with action points for the remaining project period, including organizational management assessment progress and updates.

RISE-UP is AsiaDHRRA’s EU-funded initiative on “Harnessing CSO Capacities for Eliminating Child Labour (ECL) Action through Multistakeholder Partnerships and Agri-entrepreneurship” contributing to the effective elimination of child labour in the agriculture sector through strong rural people’s organizations in partnership with Kaanib Foundation, Community Multiversity and PhilDHRRA.
