The Vietnam Farmers’ Union (VNFU) supported by AsiaDHRRA’s Smallholder Economic Empowerment through Digital Solutions (SEEDS) Project, has conducted a series of training on digital transformation in agriculture and agricultural cooperatives in Hiep Hoa (May 7-8, 2025), Son Dong (May 9-10, 2025), and Luc Ngan (May 11-12, 2025, including Chu town) districts in Bac Giang province.

The training covers topics related to basic knowledge of computers, smartphones, the internet, and social media. The lecturers from Vietnam National University and the Agriculture and trainers from the supporting center for farmers’ union in Bac Giang province similarly highlighted the importance of digital communications and online marketing in agricultural production and cooperatives. The workshop’s participants are mainly staff and cooperative members of Bac Giang province’s farmers’ union. Eventually, they will deliver the training sessions to their respective local farmers in the abovementioned districts.

SEEDS is a project funded by the Korean Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA) in coordination with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), implemented in Cambodia, the Philippines, and Vietnam.
