AsiaDHRRA and the Cambodian Partnership for the Development of Human Resources in Rural Areas (CamboDHRRA) welcomed a delegation from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) for a Supervision and Implementation Support (SIS) mission on April 24-25, 2025, in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The purpose of the visit is to review and discuss the progress of Smallholders’ Economic Empowerment through Digital Solutions (SEEDS), AsiaDHRRA’s initiative implemented in Cambodia, the Philippines, and Vietnam, and funded by the Korean Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA) through IFAD.

The SIS mission has reviewed the project implementation by CamboDHRRA with its member agricultural cooperatives. The assessment includes understanding the challenges identified in the target communities and exploring more collaboration and complementation with other IFAD projects in Cambodia. The activity included site visits to Teukhout Meanchey Kdei Songkeum Agricultural Cooperative and Kraing Leav Samaky Agricultural Cooperative in Kampong Chhnang Province, and Kasekar Samaky Amlang Agricultural Cooperative and Women Samaky Sangkae Sratop Agricultural Cooperative in Kampong Speu Province. Further, IFAD appreciated the progress reflected in the agricultural cooperatives through their increased knowledge and use of digital tools that supported their economic activities.
