AsiaDHRRA’s Smallholder Economic Empowerment through Digital Solutions (SEEDS) Project team, in coordination with the Viet Nam Farmer’s Union (VNFU), organized collaborative meetings and site visits on September 11-13, 2025, in Hanoi and Bac Ninh province of Vietnam.  The activities involved a project review with stakeholders and documentation of stories of change with smallholder farmers regarding digital training and applications introduced under the SEEDS project.

The intervention, headed by its project manager, Ms. Karmella Trillanes, and integration and application officer, Mr. Aaron Balatucan, cooperated with and was accommodated by VNFU officials, and interviewed and visited farmers and farm cooperatives in Hop Thinh and Thanh Hai communes.  Guided by Ms. Marlene Ramirez, Secretary General, and Ms. Lorna David, Finance and Admin Manager, the visit served as an opportunity for AsiaDHRRA to engage with key stakeholders closely and achieve the project’s goal through its significant inputs and to be featured on future regional forums and symposiums.

SEEDS is funded by the Korean Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA) through the International Fund for Agricultural Rural Development (IFAD) and co-implemented by GrowAsia.  The initiative aims to scale up social and economic development of smallholder households and farmer organizations in Cambodia, the Philippines, and Vietnam.
