The Cambodian Partnership for the Development of Human Resources in Rural Areas (CamboDHRRA) conducted a study visit on contract agriculture and modern farming communities in the Battambang and Siem Reap provinces from July 28 to 31, 2025. The activity responds to CamboDHRRA’s thematic programs on Mekong Region Land Governance (MRLG) Phase III initiative and ACRE Project with AsiaDHRRA.

The visit has provided the farming communities in the said provinces with an opportunity to learn about successful agricultural contract schemes and approaches to strengthening cooperation among farmers’ organizations, civil society organizations, and the government. The activity also promoted environmental and gender-based procedures in developing the value chain and establishing a farming community framework through policies and practices. Consequently, the study visit has proposed valuable insights about innovative farming models, farmer-private partnerships, and sustainable community development practices.
