AsiaDHRRA, in coordination with ThaiDHRRA, organized a Training for Trainers workshop on July 3-6, 2025, in Maha Sarakham province in Thailand. Khun Supawadee Petrat, ThaiDHRRA Executive Director, welcomed participants in person and shared her hope that this training will renew youth interest in agriculture and influence better agricultural policies in Thailand and across the region.
Ms. Marlene Ramirez, AsiaDHRRA Secretary General, spoke via Zoom and emphasized leadership, strategic planning, and rural development as key drivers of sustainable change.

The gathering is Phase 1 of a series of activities that aim to capacitate young farmers’ leadership skills and provide direct experience in mobilizing the youth to address farming challenges and engage with community members at the village/municipal levels.
Young leaders from Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand have come together in Maha Sarakham for the ACRE Young Farmer Leaders Training, a powerful initiative to empower youth in agriculture and strengthen community action through the EU-funded ACRE Project implemented by AsiaDHRRA and supported by the World Rural Forum.
