AsiaDHRRA and Kaanib Foundation Inc. joined an event organized by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) commemorating the 123rd Labor Day on May 1, 2025, at Robinsons, Valencia, Bukidnon. Ms. Marlene Ramirez, AsiaDHRRA’s Secretary-General, expressed the organization’s support in the fight against child labor by synergizing its partnership with Kaanib Foundation Inc., in the implementation of the RISE-Project and benefiting two farmers’ organizations in San Fernando, namely the Lugawon River Farmers (LRFA) Association, and the San Jose Bahani (SJBA) Association.

During the celebration, Ms Ramirez emphasized the youth camp awareness campaign and the livelihood roll-out (startups) supporting families—an initiative aiming to provide additional income and help eliminate child labor in the municipality. She also appreciates the project’s ongoing multistakeholder collaboration with the local government units (LGUs).
RISE-UP is AsiaDHRRA’s EU-fund project on “Harnessing CSO Capacities for Eliminating Child Labour (ECL) Action through Multistakeholder Partnerships and Agri-entrepreneurship”, in partnership with Kaanib Foundation Inc., Community Organizer’s Multiversity (COM), and PhilDHRRA.
