The Cambodian Partnership for the Development of Human Resources in Rural Areas (CamboDHRRA) participated and supported the Cambodian Agriculture Cooperative Alliance (CACA) in conducting a provincial workshop on “Disseminating Guiding Principles and Practices on Contract Farming to Agricultural Cooperatives,” held on 8 May 2025 in Kampong Chhnang Province.

The event gathered agricultural cooperatives, civil society organizations, national and sub-national government agencies, and development partners to discuss enabling environments for fair and inclusive contract farming in the country.  The day’s multistakeholder meeting has increased awareness and understanding of inclusive farming principles, strengthened collaboration, and created a supportive environment contributing to sustainable and resilient agricultural development policies.

The workshop is part of a national framework and a wide effort to ensure a transparent, equitable, and valuable engagement of smallholder farmers with the private sector in productive business activities and relationships.
