AsiaDHRRA and its implementing partner, Kaanib Foundation Inc., conduct a series of Financial Support to Third Parties (FTSP) workshops for eight rural people’s organizations (RPOs) from May 27-30, 2025, in Tagum, Davao del Norte. The activity is part of the RISE-UP Project’s initiative to monitor and coach livelihood funds that focus on improving households’ social and economic conditions through RPO agri-enterprises.

Participating RPOs from the municipalities of San Fernando in Bukidnon and Asuncion and Kapalong from Davao del Norte briefly presented their organizational backgrounds and livelihood propositions during the event. AsiaDHRRA’s Ms. Lorna David, Finance Manager, and Marvin Soro, Senior Project Accountant, led a discussion and mentoring on credit policies, with topics on loans, savings, capital build-up, penalties, and insurances. In addition, participants were equipped with practical tools to ensure their organizations can implement sustainable livelihood initiatives in the future.

RISE-UP is AsiaDHRRA’s EU-funded initiative on “Harnessing CSO Capacities for Eliminating Child Labour (ECL) Action through Multistakeholder Partnerships and Agri-entrepreneurship,” which, in partnership with Kaanib Foundation Inc., Community Multiversity, and PhilDHRRA, contributes to the effective elimination of child labor in the agriculture sector.
