A meeting to implement the EU Deforestation-Free Product Management Regulation (EUDR) and disseminate the role of Home and Forestry Management Board’s regulations was organized on May 21-22, 2025. AsiaDHRRA’s partner, the Lao Partnership for the Development of Human Resources in Rural Areas (LaoDHRRA), joined the project’s stakeholders, the APLPlusLaos, and the Lao Civil Society Organization Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade (Lao CSO FLEGT), in Nambak district of Luang Prabang province to discuss the project’s operation including the Forest and Natural Resources Management Strategic Plan and the measures for local forest management.

The organization’s participants, including the representatives and residents of the villages, gathered in a meeting to listen to and learn about the EUDR and the roles and regulations of stakeholders involved in the initiative. EUDR ‘s objective is to reduce the risk of having products or goods consumed and traded to the EU and globally no longer contribute to deforestation and forest degradation. The primary products identified in the country are cattle, cocoa, wood, coffee, rubber, soya, and palm oil. Furthermore, the project implementation team has reviewed the roles of the partnership’s committees, assumptions, events, and discussion exchanges to handle future natural disasters.
