AsiaDHRRA’s Secretary-General, Ms. Marlene Ramirez, participated in the Scaling-up and Sustainability of farmers’ organizations (FOs) and FO4Impact Co-Design workshops organized on June 16-19, 2025, in Bangkok, Thailand. Hosted by the Federation of Thai Fisherfolk Association (FTFA), the workshop highlighted commercialization concepts, assessment tools, and legal structure, supporting farmers’ organization planning and decision-making. Additionally, the event collaboratively co-designed the FO4Impact program through consultations with the AgriCord, Agri-Agencies, the Asian Farmers’ Association (AFA), and the Pacific Island Farmers Organisation Network (PIFON).

The event strategically defined priorities, costing frameworks, institutional/operational arrangements, and program designs aligned with stakeholder priorities to create an impact for farmers’ organizations across the region.
The gathering was organized by the consortium AFA and La Via Campesina (LVC), Asia-Pacific Farmers Program – Farmers’ Organization for Asia (APFP-FO4A), and funded by the European Union (EU) through the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
