Bina Desa, or the Indonesian Secretariat for the Development of Human Resources in Rural Areas (InDHRRA), organized its Strategic Planning and 50th anniversary celebration on August 2-4, 2025, in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The event was an important opportunity to plan and work on Bina Desa’s directions for the next five years, supporting rural communities.
Joined by stakeholders from the Indonesian Farmers Alliance (API), the API Consortium, AsiaDHRRA, Women’s Solidarity, KIARA, and the Pasundan Farmers Union (SPP), the meeting also credited the efforts made by the organization’s Chair of the advisory board. It highlighted state-of-the-country information coming from their network partners. Furthermore, the event served as a campaign, discussion forum, and collaborative learning process and has produced strategic points within Bina Desa and its network.
The Bina Desa Strategic Plan 2025–2030 is expected to serve as a strategic compass for the organization, enabling it to continue fighting for social justice, food sovereignty, and human development in rural Indonesia.
