AsiaDHRRA joined a ceremonial signing to institutionalize child-responsive budgeting for local government through the official launch of the Child Budget and Expenditure Tagging and Tracking (CBETT) on August 14, 2025, in Quezon City. The project is supported by the European Union (EU) in partnership with UNICEF. It will be implemented by the Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC), the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), and the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF).

The CBETT tool is programmed to identify, monitor, and label budget allocations and expenditures on child-responsive initiatives and programmes at the local government unit (LGU). The activity aligns with the country’s Public Finance Management reforms under the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) 2023–2028, with a key component focusing on improving Child-Responsive Public Financial Management.
AsiaDHRRA, through its EU-funded RISE-UP Project on “Harnessing CSO Capacities for Eliminating Child Labour (ECL) Action through Multistakeholder Partnerships and Agri-entrepreneurship,” contributes to eliminating child labor in the agriculture sector by empowering rural people’s organizations, mainly the young youth, farmers, and rural women operating in the provinces of Bukidnon, Davao del Norte, and Maguindanao del Norte.
