AsiaDHRRA and its project partner, Kaanib Foundation Inc., conducted a series of coaching sessions and knowledge sharing on business propositions with rural people’s organizations (RPOs) and young rural youth organizations (YRYOs) leaders from the municipalities of Asuncion and Kapalong, Davao del Norte, on August 31 and September 1, 2025.

Business propositions from RPOs with their supervised YRYOs on rice trading, processed food retailing, and irrigation and threshing rental services were examined and discussed during the gathering.  The exchanges have prioritized market focus, influence, and expansion, including identifying strategic locations and capacity needed to establish the proposed enterprises.  Furthermore, projected financial statements indicating profitable outcomes and business growth while adjusting to targeted markets were designed accordingly.

RISE-UP is AsiaDHRRA’s EU-funded initiative on “Harnessing CSO Capacities for Eliminating Child Labour (ECL) Action through Multistakeholder Partnerships and Agri-entrepreneurship,” contributing to the effective elimination of child labour in the agriculture sector through strong rural people’s organizations in partnership with Kaanib Foundation, Community Multiversity, and PhilDHRRA.
