Seoul, South Korea – AsiaDHRRA secretariat, together with its former Chairperson Dr. Wen-Chi Huang, met with Mr. Gwang-Seog Hong of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, and, Ms. Hyo-suk Park of the International Co-operative Agricultural Organisation (ICAO) on 27 February 2015 to discuss how NACF and ICAO could support the Farmers Fighting Poverty (FFP) of AgriCord, particularly in Asia.
NACF is a federation of 1,555 primary agricultural cooperatives with an estimated 2.4 million member-farmers. NACF provides its members with education and business supports through research and development, marketing, financing, savings, and insurance. NACF owns one of the largest agricultural supermarket and bank in Korea.
