The Rural-Urban Market Link (RUML) project has reached a significant milestone with the pilot launch of Biyayang Lokal expansion in Caloocan City.  Productive meetings and fruitful collaboration between RUML and KCOOP through PhilSSA have led to this groundbreaking initiative aiming to streamline ordering and distributing rice as an identified pilot product.  Additionally, KCOOP will consolidate orders to leverage their lead stores while the RUML team will ensure smooth operations on logistics and administrative details with the project’s trusted suppliers.

Approximately 240 sari-sari (variety stores) and carinderias (eateries) are piloted for launch in the area, with plans to expand to neighboring regions in the near future.

Stay tuned as we begin on this exciting journey to empower local businesses and communities through the Biyayang Lokal initiative.
